Teri Hatcher Admits She “Toyed With” Fillers Over the Years — but That Doesn’t Give You the Right to Shame Her
Can a girl live? Over the years, Teri Hatcher has sparked plastic surgery rumors — and even admitted to experimenting with fillers — but that hasn’t stopped Twitter users from continuing to slam the former Desperate Housewives star over her appearance.
The actress has received negative backlash online, and many have questioned if perhaps she’s gone under the knife one too many times. “What happened to Teri Hatcher’s face? Has she had one too many facelifts?” one person tweeted, while another added, “Bad plastic surgery. She looks like a monster,” and a third chimed in, “She definitely needs to lay off the plastic surgery and Botox.”
Previously, the 53-year-old opened up about the rumors and shared a series of makeup-free selfies on Facebook with her fans. “Did I every [sic] toy with fillers or Botox over the years? Yes. Tell me does this look Botoxed to you?” she captioned one of those unfiltered photos. “Yes, I am alone in my bathroom naked in a towel on behalf of women everywhere trying to make a point. Women, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.”
She added that it’s what’s on the inside that counts. “Being happy inside is all that matters. Find that in whatever way works for you. See something in the mirror you love every day.”
Despite what she’s said in the past, experts have also weighed in. “It looks like she has gotten some Botox to her upper lip because you can see how it doesn’t go up when she smiles. She also probably received some fillers in the cheeks and possibly an upper eyelid lift,” Dr. Andrew Miller, who has never treated Teri, said.
Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, who has also never treated Teri, agreed. “She probably also had some botulinum put into her lips to fight wrinkles but it has made her smile changed,” he added. “Her eyebrows are a bit arched from Botox but overall not bad. Her chin shows little in the way of aging which is again a sign of over-aggressive use of facial fillers.” Sigh, we think Teri looks fabulous!
