WARNING: This post contains heavy-duty spoilers about the current season of The Bachelor. Read at your own risk.

Reality Steve dropped a bombshell on Jan. 23 when he revealed that current Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. is no longer engaged to the girl we thought. As we previously reported in our winner’s post, the 36-year-old proposed to Becca Kufrin, leaving runner-up Lauren Burnham heartbroken.

But, according to Reality Steve, Arie ended his engagement to Becca a little over a week ago and is now dating Lauren. The race car driver was rumored to be filming at her parents’ house in Virginia, and ABC vans were spotted in the driveway. Allegedly, Arie called Lauren the night of the premiere after he began questioning his final decision. During the taping of the Women Tell All, contestant Caroline Lunny calls out Arie for his controversial decision.

Becca actually hinted at the breakup with a pair of depressing Instagram stories earlier this week. “At least she still loves me,” the brunette beauty captioned a photo with her cat. And next to a pic of dying flowers, the 27-year-old wrote, “Mood.”

And as reddit pointed out, Lauren, 25, seemed unexpectedly territorial when commenting on an Instagram post of Arie and fellow contestant Bekah M. “Tonight was special,” the 22-year-old nanny wrote, to which Lauren responded, “Yeah, [Bekah] calm it down.” This is going to make for one crazy After the Final Rose special!

Reality Steve also reports that Arie told Lauren “I love you” AFTER dumping her on the finale. He previously confirmed that he fell in love with two women in pre-show interviews. “The toughest part about being the Bachelor would probably be the end, making tough decisions toward the end,” he admitted in December. “I mean, that’s the hardest decision of your life, really. It’s a forever decision, so it’s not taken lightly. I think that was probably the hardest thing.” Well, clearly is wasn’t forever.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a Bachelor has dumped his fiancée for the runner-up. Season 13’s Jason Mesnick broke up with Melissa Rycroft on camera in 2009 before telling Molly Malaney that he was still in love with her. Thankfully, the duo weathered the scandal and have now been married for almost eight years. They welcomed a daughter named Riley in March 2013. We wonder if Arie and Lauren will be so lucky.
