Who Is Erica Herman? Meet Tiger Woods’s Ex-Girlfriend Amid Split, NDA Drama
From professional to romantic. Golf pro Tiger Woods kept his long relationship with ex-girlfriend Erica Herman relatively private, even having her sign a non-disclosure agreement when they began dating. Keep reading for everything we know about Erica and their relationship.
What Is Erica Herman’s Job?
The Florida native reportedly attended the University of Central Florida where she majored in legal studies. However, following graduation, Erica worked various jobs in the restaurant industry, beginning as a bartender and eventually becoming the general manager of Tiger’s flagship restaurant, The Woods, in Jupiter, Florida.
When Did Erica and Tiger Start Dating?
While the pair seemingly began as a professional working relationship, things eventually turned romantic, and they were first linked in September 2017.
Erica was spotted cheering on the 11-time PGA Player of the Year while sporting a “player spouse” lanyard at the 2017 Presidents Cup in Jersey City, New Jersey. While the pair largely kept their romance private, she was often seen supporting his career during major tournaments.
Tiger was overheard telling his then-girlfriend he loved her following his 2018 Tour Championship win as she was waiting by the 18th hole.
Following his February 2021 car crash that left the California native with multiple leg injuries, Erica helped nurse Tiger back to health.
“I wanted to test and see if I still had my hands. So even in the hospital, I would have [Erica] … throw me something. Throw me anything,” he told Golf Digest.
Upon his return to the Masters just one year after his scary accident, Erica gushed that “nothing ever surprises me about him.”
“But he’d just worked so hard to be here, that was the one thing I knew: once he got here, he wasn’t going to go home,” she told Golf.com in April 2022.
While it remains unclear when the pair called it quits, it appears their split was less than amicable.
Why Did Erica Herman File a Lawsuit Against Tiger Woods?
In March 2023, Erica filed a lawsuit asking the court to nullify a non-disclosure agreement Tiger made her sign in August 2017, In Touch confirmed on Wednesday, March 8.
According to a complaint filed in Martin County, Florida, Erica claims that the NDA should be nullified because of the Speak Out Act, which allows for exemptions in the case of evidence of sexual assault or harassment.
If the NDA is “valid and enforceable in any part,” Erica is asking the court to define her limitations on the freedom to disclose “her own experiences, the experience of her family members, photographs and recordings of herself and her family members, information held, witnessed or learned by people who are not covered by the Woods NDA.”
