Travis Kelce Reviews Girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Favorite Christmas Movie ‘Love Actually’
Couples can’t agree on everything. Travis Kelce revealed he finally watched girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s favorite Christmas movie, Love Actually, but had some serious critiques about the beloved holiday film.
During the Tuesday, December 24, episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Travis, 35, admitted he “actually enjoyed” the film but “didn’t feel ‘Christmas’ at all during the movie.”
Brother Jason Kelce felt the same way, responding, “I enjoyed the movie. It was OK,” adding, “there was zero Christmas spirit or anything resembling that.”
The retired Philadelphia Eagles star, 37, went a step further, claiming, “Love Actually might be the worst Christmas movie I’ve ever seen, I don’t even know that it’s up for debate.”
Travis went on to describe what he enjoyed and what he didn’t like about the 2003 film.
“What’s crazy is that all these, like you said, all these stories tie together in one community, and it’s supposed to make it look like this is what happens in a community,” he explained. “Like, these are all the different love stories, this is what’s going on around you.”
The three-time Super Bowl champ said some of the plotlines seemed a “little far-fetched,” but that the overall story had “good values.” Travis said he “couldn’t relate to anybody on screen” and didn’t think Love Actually should be considered a Christmas film.
However, there was one scene that particularly moved Travis, which was when Andrew Lincoln‘s Mark used a series of cue cards to tell his married pal’s wife Juliet, played by Keira Knightley, that he was secretly in love with her.

“The cards? Yeah. That was like that’s like the iconic way to do that’s like the most romantic way to tell someone you’re in love with them,” the NFL legend explained.
“It’s a fun one to watch,” Travis ultimately admitted about the movie. “I was enjoying following along to all the stories.”
In the end, Trav rated the movie a three out of 10, although he said the acting deserved a “solid nine.” Jason was a little kinder, giving the film a four out of 10.
In a May 2014 interview with Teen Vogue, Taylor, 35, revealed how the film gave her a motto to live by.
“Did you ever watch the movie Love Actually where Hugh Grant‘s voiceover says, ‘If you look around, love actually is all around?’ That’s my favorite motto,” she confessed.
Travis previously revealed that his favorite holiday movie was the 1983 classic A Christmas Story, especially since it was partially filmed in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
“A Christmas Story hits home. That’s the one that gives me the feels. That’s the one that gives me the feels because it’s filmed in Cleveland,” Travis said during a December 2023 episode of “New Heights.”
“Tower City as a kid, I remember going down that slide. I remember just like going into the mall area. On top of that, just the scene of the outside reminds me of a Cleveland Christmassy, snowy Christmas. I don’t know. It’s just I get the feels from that one,” he shared.
During the same podcast, Jason admitted his favorite Christmas movies included Four Christmases, The Grinch and A Christmas Vacation.
