Wells Adams Reveals Why He and Sarah Hyland Won’t Let Their Parents Meet Until ‘The Wedding’
All figured out! Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams have been dating for over a year and a half, but revealed their parents haven’t met yet. However, they’re being pretty smart about it.
“My parents haven’t met Sarah’s parents and for good reason,” Wells, 35, said during the latest episode of “Your Favorite Thing” podcast. “They both fall on opposite sides of the political spectrum and I’m just sure someone’s going to get into a fight about something.” At least he’s keeping it real!
He then painted a picture of how their first encounter will go down, admitting he sees a future with the Modern Family star, 28. “They are going to hang out one time and it’s going to be at the wedding and the directive is no one is allowed to talk about politics.” The former Bachelorette contestant even added that he wouldn’t mind if someone recorded the epic moment.
He also explained why he believes the encounter will be one of a kind, noting that their professions couldn’t be more different. “It will be liberal actors and my dad and my family who are a bunch of conservatives,” he explained. “My dad’s a doctor, my brother-in-law is from oil money in Texas. It’s going to be so weird.”
However, that doesn’t seem to be a major issue for the couple since they are head over heels for each other. In a previous episode of the same podcast, Wells revealed he plans to pick out a special ring for his lady. “Can I go on the record right here? I will pay for this ring, I promise you. It will come out of my bank account,” he said. Aw!
Sarah is crazy about her man too. For their one-year anniversary in October 2018, she wrote him a sweet message on Instagram. “A year ago I impatiently asked @wellsadams ‘when are you gonna ask me to be your girlfriend?!'” Sarah said, along with a goofy photo on the beach with her boo.
“I still can’t tell if I just bullied you in to being with me and you’re scared to leave? But please don’t. Thank you for being the @stevehowey To my @katehudson In #bridewars … Now, let’s get tan again and drink all the rosé.”
