Thank goodness she has so much support! Sarah Hyland bravely opened up about her health issues over the past couple of years including having a second kidney transplant, dealing with endometriosis and a hernia, and struggling with depression in a new interview on Dec. 10. Luckily, her Bachelor Nation boyfriend Wells Adams has been by her side every step of the way! He showed his undying support once again just before her sad announcement.

“This beautiful specimen has had a tough couple of weeks,” Wells wrote alongside a sweet photo with his girlfriend. “I’m here to remind you @sarahhyland that there is light amongst all the darkness. If you ever doubt that, just look at this picture and remember how awesome we are. Throw on some sweats, order some Postmates and put on Home Alone. I’ll be home soon. 😘” How thoughtful is he?!

It’s unclear what exactly he’s referring to, but perhaps Sarah has been stressed about recounting her health struggles and knowing the world was about to know all about them. Reading her interview, it’s easy to see why it may have weighed on her heavily.

“When a family member gives you a second chance at life and it fails, it feels like your fault,” she candidly admitted to Self. “And it’s not.” She said she was “very depressed” and even thought about suicide after her body rejected her first kidney transplant. She learned in 2017 that her brother was a match, so she tried it again about a year ago. In 2018, she needed more surgeries for a hernia and to treat her endometriosis.

“I had gone through 26 years of always being a burden, of always having to be looked after, having to be cared for because I’ve always had health issues. And it’s a really helpless feeling,” she said. “Things like this can be really hard on a person.” But now she’s finally doing better. She says she’s finally “stable” and “super happy with life.” We’re sure having a supportive man like Wells helps!
