Coincidence? Peter Weber actually grew up super close to the Bachelor mansion, so it seems like it was always in the cards for him to be the leading man. Where exactly does the Bachelor Nation stud live? He was born and raised in California.

The 28-year-old grew up in Westlake Village, California, and even show host Chris Harrison joked about the pilot’s short commute.

“You’re different from any other Bachelor we’ve ever had. We’ve never had somebody who lives about five minutes from the Bachelor mansion. You literally grew up in the shadows of that mansion,” the host acknowledged during the Bachelor in Paradise aftershow in September, where Peter was announced as the new leading man.

Surprisingly, the Cali native is already somewhat familiar with the mansion grounds after some hijinx in his younger days. “I used to try to sneak onto the mansion about 10 years ago, when I was in high school,” Peter confessed. “Now, opening night, I’m going to be there with limos coming in … that’s crazy to me.”

It’s a good thing that he has the Bachelor mansion under control because his contestants are going to take him on a wild ride. The new season promises steamy moments and lots of drama. However, Peter is simply looking for his lifelong partner in crime.

“Obviously, it sounds cliche, but [I’m looking for] that girl [who] is my best friend. You are just so madly in love with her and you can’t believe that you were lucky enough to find her and spend the rest of your life with her,” he divulged during an interview with  back in September, just hours after he was announced as the next Bachelor.

Considering his adventurous career as a pilot, he wants someone who can keep up. “The girl that is as thirsty for adventure as I am and just constantly exploring and never is gonna lose that. A girl that family is extremely important to her because for me coming from such a close family that’s my rock.”

Good luck, Peter!
