If you sought daily advice and tips from the Kardashian-Jenner family through any of their mobile apps, then you may need to sit down for this news. Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and Kylie have decided to shut down their official apps in 2019. No app, who dis? The reasoning behind the decision could be that it’s simply just too much work for each sister to maintain.

“We’ve had an incredible experience connecting with all of you through our apps these past few years but have made the difficult decision to no longer continue updating in 2019,” Kim said in a statement. “We truly hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as we have, and we look forward to what’s ahead.”

Each app costs users $2.99 a month and offers something personal from each sister like makeup tips, workout advice, and recipes. While the sentiment of Kim’s message is nice, it doesn’t offer much detail into why they’ve decided to do this.

It obviously must be a lot of work for each Kar-Jenner to maintain another social outlet, think of new content, and add their personal touches. Kendall already beat her sisters to the punch and shut down her app this time last year.

“As I look ahead to next year, my goals and priorities are changing,” she wrote on her website. “I’ve had an incredible 2+ years connecting with all of you, but I’ve made the difficult decision to no longer update my app in 2018. I hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as I have, and am looking forward to sharing the next chapter with you.”

This isn’t surprising considering Kendall had the least successful app launch of her sisters and raked in about $9,000 when it launched. Compared to Kylie who earned a whopping $105,000 on day one, you can see why it wouldn’t be worth the trouble. However, even for Kylie, managing the messaging proved to be difficult.

Back in 2017, when she was dating Tyga, a message was published on Kylie’s app highlighting intimate details of how she spoiled her man. Although it seemed like it was from Kylie, the starlet admitted that she had never seen it nor approved it to be published. “Hey guys from now on I won’t be posting personally on my app anymore,” she tweeted.

“It’s unfair to me and you to think that those were my words,” she continued in a series of tweets. “I’m sorry and I know we will figure something out so we can all be satisfied.” Obviously, these apps take a lot of time, work, and commitment. Honestly, what Kar-Jenner has that kind of time?

We’ll miss the small glimpses into each Kar-Jenner’s life. On the other hand, that’s what Instagram is for, right?
