Khloé Kardashian Reveals How She Makes Her Daughter True ‘Feel Beautiful’ Every Single Day
Oh, Khloé Kardashian, you’re such a wonderful mama. Speaking with Refinery29, the KUWTK star opened up about the many ways she empowers her baby girl, True Thompson, including one very special daily ritual. “I do affirmations with True every single day,” the 34-year-old explained. “She’s only a few months old, but we stand in the mirror, and I say something to her reflection, and I pretend she’s saying it back to herself.”
Affirmations, for those who may not practice them, are supportive or encouraging statements that people say to themselves in order to build confidence and stability. For example, if you’re headed to a job interview, you may look in the mirror and say: “I will get this position,” a dozen times.
Koko and True’s affirmations, on the other hand, aren’t about career advancement. Not yet, anyway. Khloé’s mission is to build True’s sense of self-esteem at a young age, especially considering she will likely live her entire life in the spotlight.
“Social media is a gift and a curse, but I really want to make my daughter feel beautiful and teach her that makeup is fun but, at the end of the day, none of us need it,” Kardashian says. “Let it just be something you enjoy.” Preach, Khlo!
Speaking of makeup, the Good American mogul is dropping a collection with her BFF Malika Haqq and Becca Cosmetics. Needless to say, we’re so pumped! Even if the ever-precious True is a bit too young for some Kardashian glam, we have no doubt that she enjoys watching her gorgeous mommy get all dolled up.
