Why Did Khloe Kardashian Skip the Met Gala 2025?
The Good American founder was too busy to walk the Met steps because she was on auntie KoKo duty. She celebrated fashion’s biggest night by the pool at her house alongside her kids, True Thompson and Tatum Thompson. Kim’s youngest daughter, Chicago West, and Robert Kardashian’s daughter, Dream Kardashian, were also at the cousin’s sleepover.

Khloé shared videos via Instagram Stories of the little ones dancing in the pool before they took a break from swimming and watched the Met Gala red carpet coverage on the television screen.
Kendall was up first, who wore a grey blazer and maxi shirt designed by Torishéju Dumi while abiding by the “Tailored for You” dress code. The top’s pointy shoulder pads were a focal point of the look, as her bare chest was exposed in the deep neckline of the blazer. The synched corset waist hugged her curves, as the skirt flowed down her legs.
Khloé and the kids chanted “Auntie Kenny” before it was Kim’s time to shine.
The Skims founder rocked an alligator Chrome Hearts two-piece set with a Michael Jackson-esque top hat. The aspiring lawyer tied the look together with a dainty diamond chain and matching earrings paired with a multi-layered necklace.
“Wow, yay Mommy!” Chicago yelled after Khloé told her that her mom was on the screen.
The kids were hyped when Kylie took the carpet in a Ferragamo corset dress and started singing Chappell Roan’s smash hit “Hot To Go!”
When Has Khloe Kardashian Attended the Met Gala?
It’s safe to say that Khloé didn’t have fomo while being on babysitting duty instead of commanding the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala.
The Khloud popcorn founder made her Met Gala debut in 2022, the first time all of her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim, Kendall and Kylie, attended the event together. Family matriarch Kris Jenner was also there with boyfriend Corey Gamble my her side.
“I have been invited in the past. I just opted not to go,” Khloé revealed in a confessional interview during the November 2022 episode of The Kardashians. “I’m not big on red carpets. I think I’ve made that very clear.”
However, Kim’s “way with words,” made her rethink declining another invitation from Anna Wintour.
“Khloé has always been really nervous to go to the Met, so I was like, ‘You’re gonna look amazing. You’re gonna use my glam. We’re gonna get ready together. We’re gonna make this the best experience ever,'” Kim explained and gushed that Khloé’s appearance would scream, “‘F–k you. I’m invited to the Met, dude, like, I’m going.’”
At the 2022 Met Gala, Khloé showcased her take on the theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” while wearing a gold Moschino gown that featured short, beaded tassels. Her hair was slicked back, and she paired the dress with a black shawl with attached gloves and matching sunglasses.
“Am I supposed to admit that I almost had a heart attack on that carpet tonight?” Khloé wrote via X at the time, adding, “Anxiety was through the roof.”
