Jordyn Woods’ Career Is Blowing Up, But Is It Enough to Score Her an Invite to the 2019 Met Gala? Here’s What We Know!
The 2019 Met Gala is here and fans can’t help but wonder if Jordyn Woods will score an invite this year. The iconic event will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 6, and Anna Wintour always brings out all the heavy hitters from the fashion world.
The 21-year-old’s career has been hotter than ever since news of her tryst with Khloé Kardashian‘s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, broke. Has she gotten enough publicity to score an invite? Jordyn has never attended the prestigious event and hasn’t given any indication that she will be going this year. Considering Met Gala tickets are some of the most sought after invites in Hollywood and can cost about $30,000 a pop, it’s likely that the Instagram model is not able to attend the charity event.
In addition, the red carpet is usually filled with the members of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family, which could lead to a very awkward encounter. Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner are frequent attendees. However, her close family friend Jaden Smith has attended in the past, so there’s an off chance that she could show up as someone’s date.
Jordyn has definitely been in the vicinity of attending the glamorous event. Last year, the Kylie Cosmetics founder, 21, walked the red carpet with her beau Travis Scott just three months after their first child, Stormi Webster, was born. The couple looked dashing in coordinating black ensembles and Kylie finished her look with diamond-encrusted sunglasses. According to Jordyn’s Instagram account, she did tag along to New York City but opted to attend a Met Gala afterparty with Bella Hadid.
The year prior, in 2017, Jordyn once again accompanied her former BFF to the big apple before she attended and it was all documented on season 1 of Life of Kylie. The friends hit a little snag when Jordyn admitted during a private interview that it was hard to focus on herself when she was so wrapped up in the makeup mogul’s life. She ended up leaving before the gala to go do a photo shoot in Canada.
“I feel like it’s because I’m so consumed in someone else’s life right now,” she dished during episode 5. “We both do a lot for each other but I’ve just been going through so many things in my own life.” She questioned, “What point is it when you start living for yourself?”
