At the beginning of March, Kayla showed off her “15-week” baby bump in this figure-hugging red dress. She’s clearly thrilled to be pregnant and loving her curves now, but she admitted on March 5 that she was pretty surprised when she first found out she was expecting.

During an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked “was your second pregnancy planned?” before congratulating her on the happy news. “Definitely not!” she replied.

“Everything happens for a reason so (shrug emoji)” she wrote. “And thank you!” But wait … how could Kayla get pregnant if she was on birth control? Turns out, it’s a situation that could happen to anyone.

When a fan asked her to explain how it happened, she issued this warning: “Ladies! If you are on the pill and you get sick with the stomach flu or any other sickness that causes you to throw up, YOUR PILL IS NO LONGER ACTIVE!”

“If you throw up within two hours of taking it, it didn’t have enough time to absorb into your body. You’re literally throwing up your birth control.” Yikes, that’s definitely a lesson learned the hard way!

After the mishap, fans are wondering why she didn’t try something more consistent. “Girl, get on the depo shot. I’ve been on it for years and I love it!” said one fan. Unfortunately, it just isn’t an option for Kayla.

“Right after I had Zay, I got on the depo shot!” she revealed. “Unfortunately I got sick from it so went on the pill. After this baby I will be trying the IUD implant!”

She already has a few cute monikers on deck. “For a girl I like Bria or Aubree. No clue for a boy because Luke is stuck on Luke IV,” she said, with an eye-roll emoji. Hey, he can’t break the streak after three!
