After nine months of dating, Jennifer Lopez is telling Alex Rodriguez she is ready for a ring. J.Lo has been married three times before but feels her relationship with the former Yankees star is special and she’s ready to tie the knot right away. However, A-Rod is not sure why there is a rush.

“She’s putting the pressure on him. J. Lo flat-out told him, ‘OK, I’m ready. Marry me,” a source told Life & Style exclusively. Though he’s wildly in love with Jennifer, “he’s feeling a little pressured,” the insider adds.

That won’t stop J.Lo, 48, from getting what she wants. Alex, 42, is letting her dictate the schedule, especially since his daughters Natasha, 13, and Ella, 9, have gotten so close with her nine-year-old twins Max and Emma. “When J. L o says jump, most people ask how high,” explains the insider. “Alex is no different. Clearly J. Lo’s the boss.”

Last month, the couple posed together for their first magazine cover and revealed that they complement each other way more than people realize. “We are very much twins,” Alex told Vanity Fair. “We’re both Leos; we’re both from New York; we’re both Latino and about 20 other things.”

Jennifer continued, “I understand him in a way that I don’t think anyone else could, and he understands me in a way that no one else could ever. In his 20s, he came into big success with the biggest baseball contract [at the time]. I had a No. 1 movie and a No. 1 album and made history. We both had ups and downs and challenges in our 30s, and by our 40s we’d both been through so much. And more importantly than anything, we had both done a lot of work on ourselves.”

While the chemistry was instant, that doesn’t mean J.Lo wasn’t hesitant to jump into a relationship with Alex at first, thanks to his playboy reputation in Hollywood. “J. Lo was skeptical about A-Rod’s intentions at first because of his reputation as a lothario,” says a source. However, he has proven himself — and Jennifer is sure this is the man she has been waiting for. Adds the insider, “she’s confident that A-Rod, like her, is in it for the long haul.”
