There has always been some speculation that Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are more than friends, but now that they’re both single and were seen getting cozy on the 4th of July, it seems like a possibility.

“They were sitting with each other, facing each other and look very intimate,” a source told Us Weekly. “They left together holding hands.” Camila, 22, and Shawn, 20, were also photographed holding hands, further confirming something is definitely up!

The pair has been close since they worked on their first collaboration, “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” in 2015. In June 2019, they released a steamy duet called “Señorita,” which features a music video of the two singers getting very touchy with each other.

Less than a week after they released the song and video, news broke that Camila and longtime boyfriend Matthew Hussey split up after a year of dating. This led many fans to start shipping the “Havana” crooner with Shawn. “Sooo Camila and Matthew broke up. It’s Shawn’s time now,” one person tweeted. Someone else wrote, “Find a man who looks at you like Shawn Mendes looks at Camila Cabello.”

When photos of the “In My Blood” singer and the brunette beauty surfaced, fans couldn’t contain their emotions. “So are Shawn and Camila really dating now? I’ve been waiting for this moment,” one fan tweeted after seeing the pics. 

“I’m going to cry please look at them, Shawn and Camila are cute together! Please, please, I hope that they’re a ‘thing’ now. ASGDSGJDKFK I’m legit screaming!” a second fan wrote.

Based on her past relationship with Matthew, 32, Camila is pretty private so it may be a while until she decides to spill any deets about whatever she has with Shawn. However, in November 2018, she unexpectedly opened up about the British dating coach.

“He’s so similar to me,” she told Marie Claire at the time. “In person, we’re just weird and silly and stupid together. He makes me the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”

If she and Shawn are the real deal, hopefully he can do the same!
