So thoughtful! Ariana Grande gave her mom, Joan Grande, and grandma, Marjorie Grande, the sweetest Mother’s Day surprise when she unexpectedly flew home to Boca, Florida on May 12.

The pop star, 25, took to her Instagram Story to show fans exactly how she fooled them. First, she FaceTimed her mom and posted a screenshot along with a message that suggested she wasn’t going to be seeing her anytime soon. “I love you mommy. Happy Mother’s Day to the greatest human being in the world. You are everything and I celebrate you everyday. Wish I could hug you,” she wrote.

Not too long after that, she shared another screenshot in which she unveiled her big surprise. “JK surprise mama,” she added. “Went from the stage to the plane. See you soon mommy!” Ari covered her and her mom’s faces with big black heart emojis, but even so, you can still see a glimpse of how shocked and happy her mom was to hear the news. Aw, such a great surprise!

Once she arrived home, she posted a boomerang of her mom shuffling Phase 10 cards, followed by a sweet photo with her grandma. Then, of course, she shared an adorable video of both of them acting silly. Unfortunately, it was a short trip — the “God Is a Woman” crooner revealed she only spent “12 hours at home” because she has to go “back to work.” At least it was worth it!

Ariana began her Sweeter/ Thank U, Next tour in March. She’s currently on the North American leg of the tour and heads to Europe in August. By the looks of it, she’s enjoying every minute of it.

“I love singing to y’all so much. Seeing your faces makes me so f–kin’ happy. Your reactions to everything are so sweet and funny, I look forward to it so much in between shows. Thanks for your energy and for being in my life and allowing this to be my life. Bye,” she tweeted on May 11. We enjoy seeing you do your thing too, girl!
