Ariana Grande Shares Sweet Home Vids Belting Her Tiny Heart Out With Mom Joan Grande
Singer Ariana Grande is such a powerhouse vocalist, it’s almost crazy to think she was once a sweet little baby who had yet to hone her incredible talent. But because Ariana is basically too good to her fans, she recently took to social media to share a few throwback clips from 1997, featuring Ari and her mom, Joan Grande, belting it out road trip style, possibly filmed by her estranged dad, Edward Butera.
On Dec. 22, Ari, 25, took to Twitter and gave us a glimpse at her childhood. “What would you like to sing? The next song,” she captioned the first video, a nod to what her mom asks her in the clip before putting on baby Ari’s desired track.
The second video caption gives us a little insight on Ariana and her mom’s relationship. “We still sing this, she’s still [Barbra] and still this stunning and cute if not more so,” Ari wrote about her mom, explaining about the clip where she and her momma sing “Tell Him” by Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion. After some back and forth, Ariana and her mom decide to sing the Celine and Barbra parts respectively, and their banter is seriously too cute.
Ariana’s mom Joan, 50, took to Twitter herself to comment on the cute home movies. “Ariana I love you… So happy I found this video from 1997, damn, 21 years ago and this is still a most amazing song and you a most amazing singer… and I always knew it!” We could only imagine how incredible it must have been to be Joan and see baby Ari blossom into the singer she is now.
“Every mother’s question to their 4-year-old daughter, ‘Am I Celine or [Barbra]?’ We are cute,” Joan left one more comment on the sweet vid.
It’s really cool to get a glimpse at the child before the superstar — and we love that Ariana’s mom was all about the throwback too. Bring on more clips!
