Ariana Grande’s Nonna Got A Tattoo And We’re Living For It
What a night! On the heels of accepting her Woman of the Year award from Billboard, Ariana Grande decided to go get inked with her grandmother. Ariana’s mom, Joan, and her brother, Frankie, were also both there to witness the momentous event. Nonna, as she’s affectionately referred to, decided to get a tiny tattoo on her finger and the meaning behind it is so, so sweet. If not when she’s 93 years old, then when? Nonna’s new ink must’ve been inspired by her granddaughter because Ariana is covered in teeny tats. All around, it looked like a really fun evening with a lot of laughter and memories made.
Of course, Ariana didn’t miss out on the tattoo party. The singer tapped into Brooklyn tattoo artist Mira Mariah for her new, out-of-this-world tattoo. The “thank u, next” singer got a half moon with the sun and stars on the top of her hand.
New ink, who dis? Ariana is definitely ready and excited to start a new chapter, even if she doesn’t know what to expect. She told the crowd during her Woman of the Year speech, “I just want to say if you’re someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter is going to bring, you’re not alone in that.” However, it’s going to be a time for self-love. She continued, “I look forward to hopefully learning to give some of the love and forgiveness that I’ve given away so frivolously and easily to men in the past to myself, hopefully, this year.” Preach it, Ari.
It’s been a tough year for the singer, but 2018 coming to an end getting tattooed with Nonna is pretty epic.
