Ashley Graham and Husband Justin Ervin Enjoy a Scenic Breakfast While Quarantining in Nebraska
Breakfast with a view! Ashley Graham took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 3, to share a sweet selfie with her husband Justin Ervin. The pair looked happier than ever while enjoying an outdoor meal in the model’s home state of Nebraska.
Ashley, 32, Justin, 31, and their son, Isaac Menelik, who they welcomed in January, are quarantining with her family amid the coronavirus outbreak. Even in isolation, the body positivity advocate continues to spread powerful messages about self-love and motherhood on social media.
“13 weeks postpartum and I’m starting to sort of feel like myself again after giving birth. New mamas, how many weeks postpartum are you? What are you doing to feel like yourself again?” Ashley captioned an April 20 post on Instagram.
Additionally, the “Pretty Big Deal” podcast host revealed that giving birth to her son “naturally” changed her entire outlook on what she’s capable of. “I have to say now though that I gave birth, and I did it naturally and I felt everything, I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do,” she told Justin during an episode of PBD in February.
“Like there’s nothing that can come my way where I’d say, ‘That’s too hard. I can’t handle that.’ I went through laboring for six hours naturally,” Ashley added. Justin, who works as a film director, chimed in, “You gotta be specific though. You had a completely natural childbirth at home.”
Ashley also reflected on how pregnancy changed her body and how she’s learning to accept that. “Going through that experience … going through the hardship of my body changing, having to go back to practice what I preach, and then going through the invincible laboring birth experience that I did and now to be able to stand tall and say, ‘Wow I did it,'” she continued. “I’m so proud of myself and I want other women to feel that exact same feeling of just being invincible.”
While carrying Isaac, Ashley felt “sexy,” a source exclusively told Life & Style in September 2019. “Ashley’s showed her fans and the world that being pregnant can be glorious.”
And now, she continues to do the same with motherhood.
