Ashley Tisdale Is a Mom! The Disney Alum Welcomes Baby Girl With Husband Christopher French
Congratulations are in order for Ashley Tisdale and husband Christopher French! The High School Musical alum welcomed the couple’s first daughter, Jupiter Iris French, on March 23, 2021.
“Jupiter Iris French arrived earth side 3.23.21,” Ashley wrote via Instagram on March 24 and shared a black-and-white photo of her daughter’s tiny hand.
The actress, 35, first announced that she was pregnant via Instagram in September 2020. Ashley and her musician husband, 38 — who tied the knot in 2014 — cuddled up together for a series of photos in which the former Disney Channel star cradled her growing baby bump.
“I’M PREGNANT!!!! Wow, it feels so good to finally share this news with you guys! Where do I even begin?” Ashley wrote following her pregnancy announcement in a post on her blog, Frenshe. “For YEARS it has been the question from everyone since I got married. At first, I rebelled against it, and like clockwork, after I got engaged EVERYONE (and I mean everyone!) asked when I was getting married. Then, once I was married, everyone was asking when I was having kids. To be honest, it just felt invasive. I wasn’t ready for that step yet and I wanted to be selfish and have Chris all to myself for a while. Honestly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
Nearly one month after the couple’s announcement, the Phineas and Ferb star and Christopher revealed that they were gearing up to welcome a daughter.
“This year has obviously been hard. For so many. Ups and downs, and an emotional roller coaster. I think this day was by far my favorite day EVER!” she captioned three Instagram images in October 2020 of the couple cutting a cake to reveal the baby’s sex. “I cried I was so happy. Ps for all you people going above and beyond for gender reveal parties. A cake with the color inside is JUST as rewarding as fireworks but SAFER!”
Throughout her pregnancy, Ashley was not shy about showing her tummy to the world. She constantly updated fans via social media and her blog. Shortly after her sex reveal, The Masked Dancer judge shared her pregnancy cravings with fans. “I saw this on my feed and thought it said American Pickles,” she wrote alongside a crying laughing emoji and photo of an advertisement for the TV show American Pickers. “So [yeah], you can guess what I’m craving right now.”
She also told her millions of followers in January that yoga has gotten her “through this entire pregnancy and life.”
“Whenever I feel anxious I do yoga and it makes all the noise of the world go away and I get very present in the moment,” Ashley wrote on Instagram. “Yoga is a gift that keeps giving.”
The songstress even stripped down for a pregnancy pic in February and praised her body. “So much of the time we give our love to others. Let’s start loving ourselves and our bodies in every shape and form,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a mirror selfie. “Our bodies do a lot for us every day and we neglect to acknowledge that. Thank your body and say I love you.”
In her pregnancy announcement blog post from this past September, Ashley also told fans that she was “excited about this new adventure” and is “being very optimistic with every step.”
