We knew Selena Gomez would have the last word!

The 24-year-old singer is back in the studio writing a new track titled “Bad Girlfriend.” According to The Sun, the “Kill Em With Kindness” hitmaker is working on her next album with “Same Old Love” collaborator Charli XCX. In the upcoming track, Selena sings, “I know I’m not there for you or there when you call. I’m a bad girlfriend/I’m a bad girlfriend.”

It sounds like Selena has nothing kind left to say about one of her exes — and we can’t help but wonder whether the new song is aimed at Justin Bieber!

“It’s all about a boyfriend the girl is no longer really into and has finally gotten wise to,” a source revealed. “It’s tongue-in-cheek and Selena and Charli knew exactly who they were writing about.”

The new anthem focuses on female empowerment and not sticking with a boyfriend who treats his girlfriend poorly. It’s not difficult to imagine that she is drawing from personal experiences with her on-again, off-again ex. Selena might be dating The Weeknd now, but it seems like she’s still holding on to some bitterness towards Justin.

“She sings about how a good girlfriend would just carry on and let their boyfriend walk all over them, with their cheating and whatnot, but she’s changed her ways,” the source continued. “It will undoubtedly be tweaked but they were really happy with how the songwriting session went and were loving slating their exes.”
