It’s a … *Drumroll please* … girl! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds confirmed the birth and sex of their third child on October 16. The newly minted family of five now has three daughters and the parents looked over-the-moon excited about this new chapter.

“I love B.C. I want my daughters to experience the same natural playground I grew up in,” the 42-year-old wrote on Twitter with a photo of him and Blake, 32, hugging in the woods. The couple was all bundled up wearing coats and beanies in the chilly (yet gorgeous) Canadian forest area. Their newborn can be seen snuggled between them, although the actor blurred out her face.

News broke on October 4 that Blake and Ryan secretly welcomed their new baby girl at the end of summer. A source dished to Us Weekly that she was “about 2 months old” by the time the exciting announcement surfaced. A source exclusively told Life & Style that Blake had been working on a very zen birthing plan approaching the delivery date. “She wants to make the experience as calm and easy as possible because Ryan does tend to get fidgety and highly strung as the due date approaches,” the insider explained.

The Deadpool actor is definitely outnumbered by the ladies in his house and a separate source revealed to Life & Style back in May that he was keeping his fingers crossed for a boy. “They already have two daughters, James, 4, and 2-year-old Inez, and while they’re just hoping for a healthy child, they’re secretly wanting a boy,” the source divulged at the time. “Ryan says he’s outnumbered at home, he’s trying to even the playing field, so a son would be great.” The source added that the actor even thought that he could “feel” a baby boy was on the way. Maybe next time, Ry!

The two are still in newborn mode but a big family has always been on their minds. “Blake and Ryan couldn’t be happier about having another child. She’s been pretty vocal about wanting four or five kids, so they’re right on track,” the source revealed. “Blake comes from a big family, five kids, and Ryan’s parents had four, so she loves the idea of having a lot of children.”

Congrats to Blake and Ryan!
