OMGIt’s a ‘Bravo’ Baby! Andy Cohen Welcomes His First Child Via Surrogate

“I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future,” he told the world during the episode.

“Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life and though it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be the most rewarding chapter yet,” he closed his heartfelt speech.

And trust us, we were totally crying. The OG Real Housewives, who were guests on the episode, including Teresa Giudice and NeNe Leakes, were totally shocked, too! What a moment.

While chatting with friend Anderson Cooper during CNN’s live New Year’s Eve broadcast on December 31, the talk show host finally revealed the gender of his new addition. “I can not wait to meet this boy,” he told his pal.

“And here we are in 2018, almost ’19, and anything’s possible. And I’m so grateful to a wonderful surrogate that I’m working with,” he continued.

For fans and followers who are curious about the timing of Andy’s choice, he got candid about that, too.

“By the way, by the time it became possible, I was kind of having too much fun in my life to say, ‘I don’t think I can do this right now,'” he explained.

“But here I am, I turned 50 this year. It takes some people longer to get to that place. And it took me that time,” he revealed.

To celebrate his little bundle of joy, the Real Housewives mastermind had a raucous baby shower and had (almost) all of his favorite ladies in attendance for the big day.

The majority of the Housewives were there, dancing their little asses off and even getting up on tables to bust a move (yeah, we’re looking at you, Lisa Rinna)!

Real Housewives of Dallas star LeeAnne Locken even told Life & Style exclusively that Andy is “so ready for this and is overflowing with love.”

It’s no surprise to see all this joy surrounding Andy and his new baby.

We’re just about as excited as the whole Bravo family must be. We’re sending the utmost love and congratulations to this very, very deserving first-time daddy. Mazel!
