Exclusive‘Bachelor’ Contestants Cassie and Heather Actually Went to College Together — and ‘Were Friends’
Déjà vu? Although we watch The Bachelor for the inevitable drama, sometimes true friendships are built along the journey. However, it turns out that contestants Cassie Randolph and Heather Martin already knew each other before stepping foot into the mansion. Life & Style learned that the blonde beauties competing for Colton Underwood‘s heart attended the same college and are much more than acquaintances. “We were friends with Cassie,” a source close to Heather revealed. Before you think this has the potential to be another Caelynn and Hannah B. frenemy vibe, the girls were actually pleasantly surprised to have a little extra support through the experience. “I know when Heather and Cassie saw each other for the first time [in the mansion] … I know Heather was very relieved to see her because it’s an overwhelming experience to go on that and they were friends,” the source continued.
The two were never besties, but the insider divulged that Heather was “excited” to see someone from her college social group … even if they are vying for the same guy. “They were never in the same circle of friends … I don’t think that they overlapped too much. But I would consider them friends,” the insider quipped.
And neither girl was putting up a front for the cameras! The source added that the California native is just as gentle-spirited as she seems on television. “Cassie’s incredibly sweet, but yes, Heather did know her.”
However, it sounds like the contestant who’s never-been-kissed really hit it off with all the women in the house. “Heather just speaks so highly of all the contestants on The Bachelor,” the source admitted. Well, there’s nothing wrong with a little girl power in the franchise.
