Clapping back! Bachelor star Colton Underwood responded to a body-shaming comment that told him to “stop losing weight.”

“I’ll be right here for a bit,” the season 23 star, 28, captioned a shirtless Instagram photo of himself laughing with two dogs on Wednesday, August 19.

“Stop losing weight!!” a fan responded to the smiling photo. The former football player made it clear he is over hearing critiques about his body.

“No matter what weight I am, I am still the same dude,” the Bachelor Nation star wrote in a lengthy comment. “I was told I was puffy and chunky while [Bachelor] aired, and now, I’m too thin. I’m glad I don’t suffer from a body disorder … but please be conscious that some people do and commenting on their health isn’t a good look.”

However, the reality star got a lot of love, too. “Man oh man, I would do just about anything to be right there, too. I’ve never seen such perfect biceps and man before in my life,” a follower gushed. “Colton, you are a very cute and handsome guy, and I love your pictures,” someone else added.

Colton has been extremely open as of late, specifically with his feelings toward the Bachelor franchise. After his split from former contestant Cassie Randolph, he seemingly shaded her after the Huntington Beach native, 25, appeared on The Bachelor Presents: Greatest Seasons Ever on July 6. After his cryptic post, Cassie claimed on her Instagram Story that her ex was adding a chapter to his book, The First Time, about their split and would not seek her approval about what was written.

However, Colton said his comments were “more [directed] toward Bachelor during an interview on Reality Steve’s podcast on August 13.

“What bugged me was the fact that the show took advantage of her. I feel very defensive over people I love. I know Cassie’s a big girl and she can fight her own battles, but I know her heart,” he explained. “She doesn’t want to rock the boat, and she loves people even if they abuse her or even if they take advantage of her, which is what they did.”

He added he was annoyed that the show “only aired parts” of Cassie talking about Colton, despite telling her the interview was a chance to talk about herself. “It was never intended to take a shot at Cassie or have people read into it. It was just me sort of seeing the standards,” he said.

It looks like Colton is forging his own path!
