Demi Lovato Just Won Halloween (Already!) With Her Epic Costume: ‘I Don’t Play’

Considering Halloween is still a few days away, you may be surprised to learn that Demi Lovato has already won the spooky holiday but, alas, here we are! On Thursday, October 24, the powerhouse songstress, 27, took to Instagram to unveil her costume and unsurprisingly, she killed it! 

“Halloween Round 1 … I told y’all I don’t play on Halloween!! It’s my time to shine. Glam team killed it,” Demi captioned not one, but two selfies of her All Hallows’ Eve ensemble and tagged her talented makeup artist, Etienne Ortega, and hairstylist, Paul Norton.

Now, the real question is, what is she? As far as we can tell, Demi decided to dress as Marie Antoinette. That said, she definitely added some modern twists, including fishnet stockings and Euphoria-style rhinestones around her eyes. Basically, if Alexa Demie were alive during the French Revolution, she would have worn this.

Naturally, the Lovatics, as well as Demi’s friends, were living for the look. “Come through,” commented Ashley Graham. “AMAZING!!!!!!” added Debra Messing. “Will there ever be a Halloween costume you don’t look hot in?” a third person chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “OMG! Are you kidding me with this?! How can anyone else even compete?”

Perhaps our favorite comment, however, was from a fan who wrote, “Are you hiding any new singles in that wig?” Not to take away from the Halloween spirit or anything, but Demi releasing a new album this year would be major. Thankfully, she’s been hinting at it for a couple of months now.
