Over the past few days, several dog food companies have recalled their products due to salmonella concerns. Not only does this potentially affect your furry friend, but it could also affect you.
According to the FDA, two people have picked up salmonella from Raw for Paws. Typically, a person or pet affected with salmonella experiences symptoms such as fever, body aches, nausea, and vomiting for four to seven days, and they often clear up on their own. Hospitalization and medical treatment is sometimes required if the symptoms become too severe. Scroll down to see if you may have any of the products in your home. If so, dispose of them immediately.
