As any fan of The Office will tell you, John Krasinski’s role as Jim Halpert is perhaps the most beloved of the series. As it turns out, however, that’s not one of the reasons his now-wife, Emily Blunt, wanted to date him. In fact, according to the pair’s new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Emily hadn’t seen a single episode of The Office before getting together with John. Though, she was a fan of the British version (blech).

In addition to revealing Emily’s not-so-solid taste in TV (#SorryNotSorry), the interview was also full of heartfelt insights on how one of Hollywood’s favorite couples came to be. Back in 2008, John was casually dining at a restaurant with Justin Theroux when a mutual friend introduced him to Emily. When asked who made the first move, the Mary Poppins actress and her handsome man didn’t exactly see eye to eye.

“Probably me, I think,” Emily said, while John fired back with, “Yeah, right.” Despite his confidence on the matter, Emily insisted, “I think it was me.” Ugh. Aren’t they just so cute? “No, it was me asking for a while and you took some time, and then we finally had a date,” John concluded.

As for their first date? Well, it couldn’t have been sweeter. They got pizza together and hung out at John’s West Hollywood apartment. That said, Emily didn’t want to offer up more details. “It’s so precious, I don’t want to talk about it. Is that alright?” Fine by us, girl. Some things are better left sacred.

Something we absolutely have to mention, though, is that Emily and John are reportedly trying for baby No. 3! Seeing as the A-listers already share two beautiful daughters — Hazel, 4, and Violet, 2 — we cannot wait to see their family grow.

“Emily put off getting pregnant to film Mary Poppins Returns, but now that’s over,” a source recently told Life & Style magazine. “They both want another baby, hopefully, a boy, a little brother for Hazel and Violet to dote on.” Here’s hoping the happy fivesome will be cozying up on the couch watching The Office in nine months.
