‘Tis the season! The Office ran for a grand total of nine seasons on NBC, meaning it had a ton of time to fit in plenty of hilarious holiday episodes — and it did not disappoint!
Whether you love every single episode of the comedy series or swore off the show after Steve Carell left, there’s something for everyone when it comes to holiday specials on this list. Who can forget the Benihana Christmas installment? Or the special gift Jim tried to give Pam for Christmas during the second season of the show?
Sadly, if you’re a fan of the series who loves to indulge in the occasional rewatch, this is the final year you will be able to access the beloved NBC comedy on Netflix. As of January 2021, the American remake of the hit British series will only be accessible to view via NBCUniversal’s exclusive streaming platform, Peacock.
“The Office is one of our most prized series,” UTV president Pearlena Igbokwe said in a statement in June 2019. “We are thrilled it has found an exciting new home where generation after generation will continue to discover and rediscover Michael Scott’s most cringe-worthy moments, Jim and Pam’s will-they-or-won’t-they and the incredible quirky ensemble that makes each episode a masterclass in comedy.”
Though fan favorites Jim and Pam — a.k.a. John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer — never got married and had children together in real life, the series did spark a romance between Kelly and Ryan (Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak) off-screen during the early days of the show.
“We kind of fell in love through [writing for the show] and then dated on and off for a couple of years and now, we are just, like, best friends,” the Mindy Project alum told Vulture in 2012. “Like, real best friends. It’s the kind of friendship you have when you are embedded with someone, that you can only get by putting in that insane amount of time with people.”
