Yikes. Bachelorette front-runner Garrett Yrigoyen is being accused of even more troubling behavior — not just on Instagram. Hours after Becca Kufrin and Garrett’s first meeting aired on TV, news spread that Garrett’s alleged Instagram account had “liked” a series of offensive posts, including transphobic memes and messages promoting violence against immigrants. But Life & Style has learned that there’s other questionable behavior in the medical sales rep’s past.

His first marriage, to his ex-wife Kayla Cunningham, ended after just six months. However, a friend of Kayla’s revealed that Garrett drastically changed after the wedding, and he completely walked out on her.

Bachelorette host Chris Harrison has described Garrett, 29, as “heartbroken” over his divorce, which was finalized in March 2016. But the friend claimed it was Kayla who wound up devastated. Soon after the wedding, the friend told Life & Style, Garrett started acting cold and disrespectful toward Kayla and her family. Then, one day, “he packed up all his crap.”

“A week later, he said he wanted half of everything,” the friend explained. After a lengthy court battle, “she had to give him some money,” said the friend, who hopes Becca, 28, is careful. “I want Becca to know the truth about Garrett. He’s a nice guy at first, but she needs to watch out.”

“Why did he marry her and have her family spend thousands of dollars on the wedding, and then all of a sudden say, ‘I just can’t do this anymore?'” the friend asked. “Her family felt like she had been scammed.”
