For Desi Perkins, she says Halloween is what helped her get to influencer status. “Halloween has always had a special place in my heart because it’s what started this journey for me. I always painted and sketched growing up and now I just changed my canvas to my face,” she told Life & Style exclusively.

Influencer Drew McHale, best known as “mcdrew” on Instagram, said her face is the ultimate palette. “I never really found my perfect medium of art until I discovered creating with makeup. I use my face as my canvas — being able to create my artistic visions on myself is an empowering feeling,” she dished to Life & Style. “I have a constant growing list in my phone of who or what I want to transform into next.”

Expressing yourself creatively can be a great way to stay in tune with yourself, according to influencer Sarah Dufresne, or Lola_Von_Esche. “Doing makeup and face art is an incredible way to find myself — my true self!” she explained to Life & Style. “This may sound paradox because I transform myself into another person with makeup every day, but doing makeup is like meditation to me … I think about life while painting, about myself … Time does not exist while painting.
