Halsey and Lady Antebellum Perform the Most Amazing Country/Pop Mashup at the 2019 CMAs — Watch!
When you combine one of the biggest pop stars in the world with one of country music’s most beloved groups … well, you get pure magic! Enter: Halsey and Lady Antebellum at the 2019 Country Music Association Awards.
The dynamic foursome performed “What If I Never Get Over You,” as well as a rendition of her single “Graveyard” and totally brought down the house. Perhaps Halsey, 25, should consider a little genre crossover one of these days. After all, the New Jersey native certainly looks the part!
Halsey descended onto the red carpet wearing a stunning, floor-length floral gown complete with a sweetheart neckline. Additionally, she rocked some tried and true country-style hair. Halsey recently dyed her ‘do red — inspired by Rose from Titanic — and opted for a short bob with some serious volume.
As fantastic as the entertainer looked, we were a bit bummed to see that she attended the awards show solo. That’s right, her new brooding beau, Evan Peters, was MIA.
The striking pair made their red carpet debut on October 26, at the 100th American Horror Story episode celebration dressed as iconic duo Sonny & Cher. Two days later, Halsey took to Twitter to address her apparent split from fellow musical artist Yungblud.
Until Halsey and Evan, 32, stepped out and public, fans still thought she and Yungblud were going strong. “Sometimes people just break up,” Halsey explained in a since-deleted tweet.
“It doesn’t mean someone cheated or something bad happened or someone f–ked up,” she continued. “Sometimes it just happens because life is constantly changing and adults stay friends and move on.”
After removing the message from Twitter, Halsey followed up with, “Now you know what you know,” with a heart emoji. As always, we appreciate Halsey’s transparency onstage and in her personal life! We look forward to seeing more amazing moments from her (and maybe some other country artists?) in the months to come.
