Iskra Lawrence Flaunts Her Baby Bump at Golden Globes Afterparty

When it comes to pregnancy style, Iskra Lawrence never disappoints. The 29-year-old model attended the InStyle and Warner Bros Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, January 5, and flaunted her growing baby bump in a stunning metallic bronze dress.

Iskra is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Philip Payne, and by the looks of it, pregnancy seems to be treating her super well. The blonde beauty can’t get enough of sharing photos of her adorable tummy, and we don’t blame her.

While the pregnancy came to a surprise to fans, it turns out, that was also the case for the couple. Iskra had been using contraception, so this was totally unexpected. “I even freaked out when I found out I was pregnant because I was still taking it!” she told Violet Benson on her “Too Tired to Be Crazy” podcast in November 2019 about getting pregnant while taking the pill.

Iskra continued, “So like the first two months of my pregnancy, I was still taking the birth control — bearing in mind it wasn’t like 9 a.m. every day and I traveled. So me and Philip reckoned that when I would do long call flights from say from L.A. to London, you kind of skip a day so maybe it was that, but still I just assumed my body because I was on it for 11 years I would have to, and people say that right? That you have to decide to stop taking birth control, give it like six months and then you will be able to fall pregnant.”

The mom-to-be divulged her immediate reaction wasn’t a positive one. “I burst out into tears and they were not happy tears,” she said. “He was swearing, he was like ‘F—k!’ but not in an offensive way. I was glad he knew the magnitude of what was happening, and he didn’t just play it off. And we just held each other and just talked for a long, long time.”

However, shortly after, the pair wrote each other handwritten letters to come to terms with this major life change and decided they were going to go through with it. Congrats!
