Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert Announce the Name of Their New Son … With a Little Help From Bachelor Nation
Say hello to Brooks Easton Tolbert! Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert announced the name of their newborn son on August 1 and he’s the cutest thing ever. The Bachelor in Paradise starlet gave birth to their second child on July 30. They have been sharing every minute of the excitement with Bachelor Nation, like when their first child, Emerson Avery, met her younger sibling for the first time. The reality couple even helped fans pick out the name for their new bundle of joy.
Jade wanted the opinion of her 1.2 million followers when it came to her son’s moniker. They did bracket-style voting to shave down a plethora of names like Easton, Lance, Caden and Landon. Eventually, the adorable pair narrowed it down to their final four: Reed, Beckett, Brooks or Easton. It was such a cute idea to combine two of their top choices for his first and middle name.
The newly minted mom-of-two had a truly harrowing delivery after not making it to the hospital. “I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet,” the brunette beauty began a lengthy caption for her birth announcement on Instagram. “I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely.”
Jade revealed that everything happened so quickly and she didn’t really have an option but to start pushing. “Long story short, my waters broke and 75 minutes later I gave birth to our healthy baby boy while clutching a bench in our closet,” she continued. “It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby.”
Both Jade and her handsome hubby have beautifully curated social media feeds, but the reality babe confessed that she wanted to showcase the raw side of childbirth. “I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first but this felt right to me,” she admitted. “So incredibly grateful for the support system we had and for this beautiful boy I get to hold in my arms.”
