It’s not the same — but she gets it. Real Housewives of New York alum Jill Zarin gave an update on her ever-evolving relationship with her former BFF and costar Bethenny Frankel while appearing on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live on May 30 … and she feels the Skinnygirl founder “doesn’t have time” for her.

“It’s definitely better than it’s ever been since that whole thing happened, but she doesn’t have time for me,” the 55-year-old said. “And I’m sad about that, but I understand it.”

She even went a little deeper about their former closeness. “I’d like to think we could go back to where we were,” the widow revealed. “But you can’t.”

The talkative redhead also touched on the 48-year-old’s life since they stopped being inseparable. “Life has treated her in a strange way — and it’s not money. Life has given her a lot of rewards but it’s also punished her,” the fabric mogul said about her scathing custody battle with ex Jason Hoppy. “The only victim there is the daughter.”

Would Jill go back on the show that made her famous and try to spend a little more time with her former BFF? Though she says she doesn’t want to go back “full-time,” she does feel she has something to bring to the table in a “friend” role on the show.

“What I bring now is a very different Jill and I think that the fans want to see that. That’s what they tell me and it’s so annoying,” she explained. “It’s not annoying because I love hearing it but every single day since I left the show I get tweets, Facebook, comments. You read them, like ‘When are you coming back?’ And I feel, like, an obligation to satisfy that to a certain extent.”

And if she did come back, she says it would be a whole different Jill. “I’m not the same. I’m calmer, I try to think first and I try to not take things so personally,” she detailed. “And there were definitely roads that I took the wrong way throughout the whole thing.”

“I know that maybe I should’ve shown up at Bethenny’s apartment when this whole thing went down and said, ‘What are we fighting about? Let’s just make up.’ And I let it fester,” she revealed about her regrets regarding her and Bethenny’s friendship. But things would be different now.

“I don’t have the ego I had,” she said.
