After the passing of their dog Waldo Picasso, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner turned to some ink to keep their pup’s memory alive forever.

The power couple took to social media to show off their matching tattoos, which consists of Waldo’s little face in all his glory. “R.I.P. my little angel,” the 29-year-old captioned the photo of the tattoo, which seems to be located on his right arm. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old shared a snap of her piece on her Instagram Story and wrote, “I miss you, Waldo. Rest in peace my little baby.”

Waldo passed away on Wednesday, July 24, after he got hit by a car in New York City. A dog walker was talking him out for a stroll when all of a sudden a pedestrian scared him off. This caused Waldo to become startled, which led him to get loose from this leash. Eventually, he ran into the street where he was hit. It was a “freak accident,” Joe’s rep told Us Weekly.

Waldo was adopted by the actress as a gift to the singer in April 2018, as a little brother to their other Alaskan Klee Kai dog Porky Basquiat. Though his time with the couple was short-lived, Joe and Sophie seemed to have given him the best life.

“They live a pretty fabulous life,” Joe told People in November 2018, referring to both of his pups. “They have probably traveled more than most of my friends.” That definitely seemed to be the case. Exactly a month before the tragic accident, Joe shared a selfie with Sophie and Waldo both sleeping beside him and captioned it, “nap game strong.”

Waldo’s passing came less than a month after the two tied the knot for the second time on June 29. Fortunately, they have each other to lean on during this difficult time. Our thoughts go out to them both.
