Sorry, Folks, John Mayer Says Romance Rumors With Kourtney Kardashian ‘Happen Not to Be True’
If you were hoping John Mayer and Kourtney Kardashian were dating, well, we’re about to crush your dreams. The “Your Body Is a Wonderland” crooner, 41, just put those rumors to rest when he confirmed he and the KUWTK star, 40, are not an item, nor were they ever.
John took to Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, on Monday, May 13, to set the record straight. “Yeah, that happens not to be true,” he began. “Look, I actually like the Kardashians. If you break it down to your interactions with them, they’re very nice people. So I think any objection to them is more philosophical, and I don’t really have a philosophical objection to people that I don’t get on with every day. Like, they’re very nice people.”
Speculation over this pair being a couple began after they were seen talking during a party in December 2018. It didn’t help that during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kourtney chose John over Shawn Mendes in a game of “Who’d You Rather.” Regardless, this union seems unlikely since John is over dating people in the public eye. “I just think I’m post-celebrity relationship, probably, in my life,” he told Andy. “I think so.”
However, there is another Kardashian that has caught the singer’s eye, but not for the reasons you’d expect, and that’s Kris Jenner. “I think she is, like, the Yoda of Hollywood serotonin,” he said of the 63-year-old momager.
“Like, she has a good grasp on how to make your serotonin just burst in your brain,” he continued. “I was sitting next to her, and I was like, ‘You are the ground zero of bliss, of Hollywood bliss.’ She was great. I also am a little afraid of her … I want a nice base level of respect. I don’t want to be too far on her radar. It’s hard to explain. She could end me.”
John should be fine since she’s a cool mom, not a regular mom!
