NBA Player Karl-Anthony Towns & Model Jordyn Woods Announce Their Engagement
Karl-Anthony Towns, the New York Knicks star, and model Jordyn Woods have announced their engagement.
The couple shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on December 25, 2025, featuring several romantic photos of Towns proposing on a rooftop with sweeping views of New York City.
In their Instagram post, they captioned the announcement with a playful pun, “Marry Christmas,” accompanied by emojis and 15 proposal photos.
Woods and Towns, who began dating in 2020 after years of friendship, credit their strong bond to the foundation of their long-standing relationship.
The couple have been together for five years. Woods first confirmed their romance in September 2020, posting beach photos of the pair in matching swimsuits with the heartfelt caption, “I found you, then I found me.”
Celebrity friends and fans flooded the comments with congratulations. Kylie Jenner wrote, “jordyyyyyyy 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹,” while gymnast Simone Biles added, “congrats bby💓💓.”
The new fiancée showcased her engagement ring while attending Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day to support the New York Knicks star following his proposal.
Sharing the moment with her followers, Woods posted on Instagram: “turned the garden to an ice rink 🤍❄️ I’m overwhelmed with all of the kind messages, love you guys!!!!!”
When celebrating their first anniversary, the couple reflected on the start of their romance and how it has gotten them through the hardest of times, including the death of Towns’ mother in April of 2020.
“Me and Jordyn met years ago knowing common people and just became friends,” Towns said. “And ever since then, our relationship grew where we became more than friends. I’m not saying in that way, but just best friends. And then we started having a deeper relationship.”
“It just so happened, the COVID came and kind of brought its challenges and it kind of forced us to either pick where our relationship was going to go as friends or something more,” he continued. “And we chose the latter.”
Woods shared similar thoughts. “I think it’s kind of cool dating your best friend. We know each other. We know each other’s hearts,” she said. “We know each other on good days and bad days and we’ve been through a lot of bad days together.”
