Kaitlyn Bristowe Shows Off Puffy Eyes After Skin Removal Surgery: ‘Everyone Wants to Look Like This’
Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that she added another procedure to her cosmetic procedure list after getting eyelid surgery on December 5.
On Sunday, December 8, the former Bachelorette, 39, shared a selfie via Instagram while healing after undergoing a blepharoplasty operation, exposing the stitches on both eyelids. In the following slide, Kaitlyn sat in a hospital bed seemingly right after being stitched. The post was wrapped up with a video of the reality star being pushed in a wheelchair and discharged from the hospital.
“Don’t be ridiculous Andrea, everyone wants to look like this,” Kaitlyn captioned the post, quoting Meryl Streep’s line in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada.
Laguna Beach alum Kristin Cavallari commented under the post, writing, “You sexy thing!!!! you honestly still look hot somehow.”
Kaitlyn replied, “You spelled scary wrong,” with a kiss emoji.
Meanwhile, a fan complimented the Dancing With the Stars alum’s appearance with a Taylor Swift reference, writing, “Why did I think you had eras makeup for a minute.”
Kaitlyn reshared the comment to her Instagram Stories and followed up with an updated selfie.
“She ain’t wrong,” the “Off the Vine” podcast host wrote in text over the image. “Bejeweled with ointment and bruises.”
Kaitlyn later shared that she’s spending her downtime with her two golden retriever dogs, Pinot and Ramen, while taking holiday recommendation movies to continue her marathon. After displaying her current situation, the Bachelor alum gave a full update on her healing eyelids.
“[My right] eye is, like, healed,” she said in the video, pointing to a visibly irritated red area. “I don’t know what is happening. I don’t know if it’s because I took a steroid pack. It’s wild.”
Kaitlyn continued, “They actually took more off this eyelid because this is the one that I really wanted to fix my droop. And then [my left eye] is healing so much slower but still so great. Like, I’ve seen some people with their healing journey from an upper bluff and mine’s actually going really well.”
The TV personality has sparked and addressed plastic surgery speculation from fans after making her silver screen debut during Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor in 2015. After witnessing people discuss her appearance on social media, Kaitlyn listed every beauty procedure and enhancement she’s had done since her introduction to Bachelor Nation.
“Six years since I was on the show, brow lift, brow microblading, got my teeth bonded, some filler in my lips, aging, darker hair and I finally learned how to contour,” she wrote via Instagram in June 2021. “Oh, and I put on some weight.”
Two months prior, Kaitlyn opened up to fans when she went “under the knife” for the first time.
“Everyone seems to think I always go under the knife for surgery, but I haven’t till now. Finally, I can share with you guys,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “I’m getting my ear lobes fixed. Wearing too many heavy earrings over the years can really pull the hole down so we’re gonna cut it and stitch it back up so I can rock some hooooooops. The process takes 15 [minutes].”
