Father-Daughter Time! North West Hits The Studio With Kanye
After experimenting with makeup on her mama, Kim Kardashian, it looks like North West is now learning the ins and outs of the music industry through her rapper dad, Kanye West. Kim shared a photo of her hubby and oldest daughter bonding at the music studio, and we can’t help but wonder if this is the route North is someday going to take.
On Tuesday, Dec. 4, Kim took to Instagram to post a sweet black and white pic of the two where Kanye appeared to be focused on a laptop in the control room, while North lied upside down on his lap, playfully looking at the camera. “Studio time!” the mom-of-three captioned the photo. Could North be getting her start in music and possibly be working with her dad on something?
It’s not entirely rare for artists to collaborate with their children, especially in the hip-hop realm. Examples of these type of collabs include rapper Jay-Z’s “Blue’s Freestyle,” featuring daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé’s “Blue,” and singer/songwriter Jhené Aiko’s “Sing to Me,” featuring daughter Namiko. Kanye is always down to experiment, so who knows?
A few years ago, when North was just a toddler, Kanye wrote a personal song he dedicated to her from his late mother’s perspective called “Only One,” featuring Paul McCartney. It was there when North made her music video debut as she appeared walking around hand-in-hand with her father on a muddy road. We’ll admit, it would be super cool to see North joining forces with her dad again, especially now that she’s a little older and could lend her vocals to a song. Regardless, we love that she’s able to enjoy both of her parents’ worlds — beauty, fashion, and music.
Because of who her parents are, North has been exposed to fashion shows, concerts, magazine cover shoots, and many more creative settings at just the age of five. A few months ago, she walked in her first runway show, following in her aunt Kendall Jenner’s footsteps. There’s no way of knowing what North will do but one thing’s for sure — the sky’s the limit for this little one!
