The Kardashian Family Slams Tristan Thompson for Cheating on Khloe Before Welcoming Baby No. 2
Baring it all! Khloé Kardashian didn’t hold back during the season 2 premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu when breaking down in tears over ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson cheating on her amid news that she was expecting baby No. 2 via surrogate. Khloé and Tristan already share a 4-year-old daughter True Thompson.
“It’s just been a lot to go through all at the same time,” the Good American founder, 38, told the cameras during the episode, which premiered on Thursday, September 22. “It’s supposed to be a really exciting, amazing time and it’s just a different experience. Time’s ticking and I keep burying my head in the sand, but that doesn’t do anything.”
At one point the fellow Kardashian-Jenner family members met up to discuss the situation sans Khloé. Khloé’s mom, Kris Jenner, said, “Well, he wanted to hang onto her, for sure, and thought that maybe if they [had a baby] she would marry him.”
Kylie Jenner expressed her disappointment with Tristan, saying what he did was “really f–ked up” and “unforgivable.” Kendall Jenner added, “You were encouraging Khloé to go forward with this, while you knew that that was also happening? It’s almost like he wanted to trap her.”
The Good American founder’s rep told Life & Style on July 13, “We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.”
It’s likely Khloé’s family had helped keep her secret about expecting a baby with Tristan, as the child was conceived in the month prior to the bombshell revelation by personal trainer Maralee Nichols that she gave birth to the NBA player’s baby son, Theo, on December 1, 2021. Maralee became pregnant in March of that year when Khloé and Tristan were still a couple.
Tristan initially denied he was the father of her child, but took to Instagram on January 4, 2022, and revealed that a paternity test confirmed he was Theo’s dad.
“Today, paternity test results revealed that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son,” he began. “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
Tristan then went on to apologize to Khloé, telling her, “You don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” adding, “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the upmost [sic] respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
Khloé revealed on May 24, 2022, that she “found out with the rest of the world” about Maralee suing the NBA star for paternity during an appearance on the “” podcast, adding, “Which is like the most offensive.” But she hinted at forgiveness toward his “mistakes.”
“You know, people do make mistakes and he’s still a good person. He’s not a good partner with me,” she explained during the podcast appearance. “And I want everyone to still have a fair shot at just being happy and having a good life. He’s always going to be in my life because of True. And he’s a great dad. That’s really all I need to focus on is just his relationship with True.”
