Kevin and Danielle Jonas Get Emotional During Daughter Alena’s First Day of School: ‘I Cried the Night Before’
Time flies! Kevin and Danielle Jonas took their oldest daughter, Alena Jonas, to her first day of school on Thursday, September 5, and it’s a lot to handle. We can’t say we blame them!
Danielle, 32, took to Instagram to spill the deets on the 5-year-old’s big day. “First day of kindergarten was a success!” Dani captioned her Instagram post of Alena. “I didn’t cry because I cried the night before, and today, I was just in shock lol. But she was amazing, brave, and so friendly. I am so proud of her — I thought of everything from her coming home from the hospital to today, and I can’t believe it’s here! She’s in school, I have a kindergartener. My mind is blown! #ineedtohaveanotherbaby”
Kevin, 31, also got emotional about his little girl growing up. “My big girl on her first day of Kindergarten,” he captioned a snap of Danielle kissing their daughter on the cheelk. “I’m not prepared for this!!!” The parents of two welcomed Alena in February 2014, so considering she is their first child, these milestones are super new to them. Valentina, who turns, 3 in October, still has a long way to go before she joins her sister at school.
Both Danielle and Kevin took Alena to school and shared their afterthoughts on the unforgettable experience in an Instagram Story. “We just dropped off Alena,” she said in the clip before the musician added that he’s “not doing well.”
“I can’t cry because I think I’m in complete shock that I have a kindergartener. I had to leave her, and I just want to sit in by the window and just watch her the whole day,” she continued. “We might try to find a window. I might get arrested,” the Jonas Brothers member joked.
“Ok, now maybe the tears are coming ’cause we’re getting in the car. Ok, we’ll check in later,” Danielle concluded the video. Hours later, she posted a sweet photo onto her IG Story of Alena and the Jonas’ youngest daughter, Valentina, snuggled up in bed together. “And she’s back home with mommy and tiny,” she wrote on the snap. Too cute!
