A literal hourglass. Kim Kardashian showed off her killer curves while rocking a hot pink string bikini. “Happy place,” the longtime Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 39, captioned her Instagram post on Monday, August 31.
While Kim didn’t explicitly disclose the location of her little photo shoot, it appeared as though she was posing somewhere tropical with the ocean in the background. “Definitely NOT Malibu!!!” Kim’s bestie Jonathan Cheban commented.
With the KKW Beauty founder’s 40th birthday coming up on October 21, we can confidently say Kim has never looked better. The mother of four, who shares children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with husband Kanye West, is constantly showing off her daily workout routines.
Speaking exclusively with Life & Style, Kim’s personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara, detailed how the reality TV personality stays in tip-top shape. “We usually work out five days a week for about one hour, give or take,” Melissa, a.k.a. fitgurlmel on Instagram, explained, noting a “typical” workout for Kim is “70 percent weights and 30 percent cardio.”
When it comes to specific exercises, Melissa said she and the California native “focus a lot on the basics” including bicep curls, tricep dip, lateral pull-downs, chest press, ball slams, burpees, sprints and ladder drills.
“Our days usually start at 6 a.m. She’s up and ready to go, even though it’s still dark out, which just shows she is not only serious about her health but her business, her family and her life,” Melissa acknowledged. “Kim is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. She’s funny, she’s witty and she has a great work ethic. My favorite thing about working out together is ‘girl talk.’ Somehow, we get everything done!”
As for Kim’s diet, she eats a “healthy, balanced diet with treats here and there — nothing crazy restrictive,” Melissa assured. Clearly, their work together is paying off.
