It’s not over until the lady with the lifestyle blog sings! On Tuesday, November 19, Kourtney Kardashian published an article on Poosh.com offering healthy (ish) candy alternatives for those looking to snack guilt-free. Normally, we wouldn’t think anything of this kind of advice on the KUWTK star’s site. However, the timing is hardly curious!
During the November 17 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney, 40, and Kim Kardashian got into a huge argument over what to serve at North West and Penelope Disick’s Candy Land-themed joint birthday party. Apparently, serving actual candy, as the party’s theme suggests, was an issue for the eldest Kar-Jenner sibling.
“It’s not going to be healthy no matter what, sugar is not healthy. But let’s not do the nasty stuff with, like, food coloring and gross s–t,” Kourtney told Kim, 39, in her signature deadpan, yet condescending tone. So, here we are. Let’s see what Kourt suggests instead of the “gross s–t,” shall we?
“Organic dried mulberries, dried mango, dried goji berries and organic chocolate-covered almonds,” Poosh reads. There are also recipes for “Nice Cream,” a 3-minute mango frozen yogurt, as well as collagen protein coconut balls. Ah, yes, collagen protein balls. The snack choice of Kindergartners everywhere.
To be fair, Kourtney’s musings about sugar aren’t wrong. However, how she addressed her sister was a little, er, difficult to watch. At one point, she turned to the KKW Beauty mogul and insisted serving junk goes against her “brand.” Thankfully, Kim had no qualms about sticking up for herself.
“Then why does your car have leather seats? Why are you wearing plastic glasses?” she clapped back. Needless to say, had Kim been holding a microphone, she could have dropped it right then and there. At the end of the day, North, 6, and Penelope, 7, ended up having a magical celebration … there was even organic cotton candy available.
