A battle of the matriarchs! While there’s no denying that Kris Jenner is the best grandmother around, Kourtney Kardashian thinks she can be a bit much, particularly when it comes to gift-giving.
“She spoils them all rotten,” a source tells Life & Style exclusively. “Kourtney would rather her mom spend quality time with her kids than buy them stuff they don’t need. They already have more than enough. It’s a constant struggle for Kris, she wants to give them the world.”
On par with recent episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney, 40, is alone in her opinion. “Kim, Khloé, Kylie and Rob let Kris do what she does,” adds the insider. “They think it’s funny, but all of the grandkids are overloaded with more toys and stuffed animals that they could possibly play with.”
“What the kids don’t use, they either give it to their staff or donate it,” the source assures, “So, they let Kris have her fun. Kris really is like Santa Claus to them.” As it happens, Kris’ similarities to old Saint Nick don’t end with presents. “As usual, Kris is going all out for the Christmas holidays. She likes to say she’s the ‘Queen of Christmas’ when it comes to decorating,” a separate source previously revealed to Life & Style.
“She has a team of elves and decorating assistants, and in the past, she’s used artistic director and flower guru Jeff Leatham,” the second insider continued. “I’m not sure what she’s got planned for this year. She’s keeping the design under wraps until the big reveal, but you can expect over-the-top, extravagant and glam. You can check off candy or rainbow-themed, nutcrackers and polar bears — she’s been there, done that.”
Kris, 64, only has “one rule” when it comes to the holidays: “to out-do what she did the year before,” the insider concluded. Needless to say, we can’t wait until she unveils her 2019 display!
