Kris Jenner Can Find a ‘Work Opportunity’ Anywhere: ‘Everything Is Monetized…Including Christmas’
Kris Jenner didn’t let the holidays get in the way of her unrivaled work ethic as she cracks the whip on everyone around her and rakes in cash at every opportunity throughout the festive season.
“A lot of people kick back for the holidays and kind of coast to the end of the year, but not Kris,” a source exclusively tells Life & Style. “This is prime money-making time, and she takes it very seriously.”
The Kardashian family makes a fortune on their own products and products they’ve endorsed, which means the lead-up to the biggest shopping season of the year is no time to take it easy in their household.
As the self-proclaimed momager of the family, no one can say Kris doesn’t live the ethos she’s keeping her daughters to. Two weeks before Christmas, Kris, 69, took to Instagram to promote her “essential” Kardashian branded gift ideas. She took the variety of items out of her $200,000 Birkin bag, looking pretty glamorous all the while.
“She’s pushing everyone around her very hard to make sure all the orders get out on time and that their marketing strategies are paying off at max levels,” the source says. “Things have been planned for months, but she watches the numbers like a hawk and if anything isn’t up to her expectations, she jumps in and changes things to improve so it’s all very fluid and that means all her employees, including her kids, have to be ready to jump when she says.”
Beyond their endorsements and product lines, Kris also intensely chases any good drama that would make for exciting television and thus translate into ratings for their show, The Kardashians.
After the family’s E! series Keeping Up With the Kardashians ended in March 2021, Kris was quick to ensure she was doing everything possible to pump ratings for their new show, which streams on Hulu.
Season 5 of the show debuted in May 2024, hitting the highest debut numbers for any unscripted show across all Disney platforms, thanks to Kris’ tireless work. As Life & Style previously reported, the mother of six takes the series’ performance into account for every decision she makes, even when advising her children on their relationships. She even brought daughter Kylie Jenner’s ex and baby daddy Travis Scott back into the family fold to add some drama to their lives.
“Kris justifies it by saying bringing him back into the fold will be helpful because he’s clearly struggling,” a different source told Life & Style at the time, “but everyone knows she’s chasing ratings.”
According to the first source, Kris now “has them reshooting content and taking meetings at full steam,” over the holiday season, “and anyone that complains gets a stern lecture about work ethic.”
“Kris is very motivated by the bottom line and is looking at the year-end as the last opportunity to reach her earning goals. Everything is a work opportunity to her and is monetized to the full hilt, including Christmas itself.”
