Erm, Alex Rodriguez and Kylie Jenner ‘Barely’ Talked at the Met Gala: She Was ‘Confused’
The most random misunderstanding happened between Kylie Jenner and Alex Rodriguez after sitting together at the 2019 Met Gala after he claimed that the starlet talked about how wealthy she is. However, a source claims that there really isn’t much to tell about the interaction between the A-listers.
“That conversation never happened. Kylie was confused by what he was saying because they barely talked,” an insider dished to Us Weekly. The former baseball player, 43, raised eyebrows after giving a less-than-positive take about his interaction with the young mogul at the glitzy NYC event during a recent interview.
“We had a great table … We had Kylie and Kendall [Jenner],” he told Sports Illustrated in an article that was published on June 25. “Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is.” Although the Us Weekly source noted that the athlete could have been just joking, the comment surprised a lot of people … including Kylie herself. The lip kit maven retweeted an article about the quotes in question and wrote, “Ummm, no I didn’t. We only spoke about Game of Thrones.”

Her puzzled response prompted Alex to backtrack a bit. “OMG that’s right [Kylie Jenner]!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you,” the Shark Tank star replied on Twitter. Clearly, he didn’t mean any harm and included “#respect” and “#alllove.”
Realistically, if Kylie did talking about her bank account, there’s no denying that it is extremely impressive. Just two months before the Met Gala in May, the mogul was named the youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes. The previous person to hit the milestone was Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg when he was just 23.
Kylie Cosmetics was basically an instant hit since first launching and has grown tremendously in just a few short years. Now, they’ve expanded with tons of different makeup items, and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star recently launched a skincare line called Kylie Skin. However, she had no idea the empire she was about to build when she started. “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,” she told Forbes after receiving the huge honor. “But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”
We’re glad Kylie and Alex were able to clear the air. Keep making that money, girl!
