They’re back! Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez returned to the Met Gala for the third time together, and the first time as an engaged couple on Monday, May 6. The pop star, 49, wore a silver crystal dress with bits of purple, almost channeling a flapper look, but leaving very little to the imagination. Meanwhile, the Yankees alum, 43, was rockin’ a classic pastel pink blazer with black pants.

This year, the power couple joined Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and a few others as members of the host committee. After making their Met Gala debut in 2017, J. Lo revealed she and her hubby-to-be had a blast. “We had a great time that night,” the singer said on the Today Show at the time. “We had an amazing time. We went in, we danced. It was awesome.”

While it’s clear Jen is the one with the moves, her man doesn’t stay behind. “He’s a good dancer,” the On the Floorcrooner said in the same interview. “He has a great time. Again, one of the things I love is that he loves to dance and I love to dance.”

This is the first extravagant event they both attend since the baseball legend popped the question on March 9. While it’s been nearly two months since they got engaged, they are in no rush to get married. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Alex revealed they “are still celebrating the engagement.” He also took the opportunity to gush about how he made the moment perfect and the story is too sweet.

“I planned it for about six months. It was on a beach in the Bahamas. I had the ring but what was interesting was that, three days prior to me going down on one knee … I would rehearse three days in a row, because I wanted the sunset to be perfect,” he told Jimmy.

“So one time, the sunset was at 6:27, the next day it was, like 6:29 and then the third day it was raining,” he continued, recalling his stress. “So I kind of came out at 6:29 and I said, ‘this is the time when I’m going to do it,’ and it worked out well.” It sure did!
