Despite having one of the most lavish royal weddings in modern history, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did quite the opposite for their one-year anniversary on Sunday, May 19. What did Meghan and Harry do for their wedding anniversary? Absolutely nothing!” a source exclusively dished to Life & Style. Who knew the duke and duchess could be so relatable?

“They’re exhausted, so they had a night in watching TV — it was what they both wanted!” the insider expressed. Exhausted, indeed! After all, the first-time parents welcomed their newborn son, Archie, into the world just days earlier on May 6.

Speaking of baby Archie, don’t worry! The little guy was perfectly taken care of while his royal parents got some well-deserved R&R. “It wasn’t a totally uneventful day. Doria [Meghan’s mom] looked after Archie so they could enjoy some alone time, and Harry surprised Meghan with a huge $500 bouquet of roses,” the source gushed. “He’s always buying her peonies and wanted to do something different.”

That sounds pretty divine if you ask us. We wonder if they watched The Crown? The insider also confessed that Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, ate like a couple of … well, monarchs! “They enjoyed a romantic three-course dinner prepared by one of the royal chefs.” Yummy! Let’s just hope their full bellies didn’t get in the way of any romance. *Wink, wink.*

As for any additional celebrations? “Harry’s organized a getaway as a belated anniversary treat for Meghan,” the source said. “They want to get Archie into a routine first.” Aww, that’s the kind of responsible parenting we love to hear about! Congratulations once more to Meghan and Harry on their beautiful 365 days of marriage. Cheers to many more, you two.
