She may be done with TV, but the word on the street is that Meghan Markle‘s family is landing their own reality show. And no, we don’t mean her new family, the royals (though we would pay any amount of money to the reality TV Gods for any amount of time to make that happen). We’re talking about her half-sister, Samantha Grant, and her father, Thomas Markle. Apparently, Samantha’s been in talks with Bravo about developing her own version of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and they’re trying to get the Duchess of Sussex’s dad involved, too.

Look, we know that there’s been plenty of drama surrounding this family since Meghan and Prince Harry confirmed their relationship, got engaged, and had a huge, beautiful wedding. And Samantha has made sure that she’s been a part of that every step of the way, at least from the sidelines. She’s frequently spoken out publicly about her relationship with her half-sister and how she alternately wants to reconcile with her or shame her for ditching the rest of the Markles. But we’re not sure what material there is here for a whole reality show.

Sure, when it comes to shows like KUWTK, it’s all based on family drama. But with the Markles, that doesn’t mean actual fights between sisters. It means Samantha talking to the press or going on Twitter to say things like, “How about you pay tribute to your own father?! …If our father dies I’m holding you responsible, Meg!” Not only is that a pretty awful thing to say, but we’re also already tired of hearing of it.

In addition to reportedly trying to wrangle her own TV show, Samantha’s also talked about writing a book called A Tale of Two Sisters, originally titled The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, about her (now completely nonexistent) relationship with Meghan. She’s promised to publish “facts and photos” in the book, which she says “deals with [her] biracial family in a candid, warm, personal, and socially-important way.” And while the way she talks about Meghan is certainly candid, it’s hard to classify it as warm or personal and not just mean.

We’re not saying we’d be above checking out a potential Markle family reality show just to get a peep at the drama, but it’s definitely not something the world needs right now. Instead, how about one featuring Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the rest of the royals? Now that is something we’d definitely tune in for.
