We stan a royal role model! Meghan Markle gave birth to her first child, Archie, on May 6, and though she looks great, she’s not rushing the process of getting back in shape.

“It’s not easy to lose the weight, but she’s happy to be a realistic example for new mothers,” a source told Us Weekly. The insider also added that the duchess, 37, is “adjusting to motherhood and really happy.” We can totally see that!

On July 10, Meg was spotted cradling her baby boy as they went to the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day to support her husband, Prince Harry. The former actress was all smiles, and she isn’t the only one who’s often in a good mood. “Archie’s a smiley, happy baby and only really cries when he’s hungry, wants something or is bored,” a source exclusively told Life & Style in mid-July.

“He’ll probably grow up to be a social butterfly because he loves being surrounded by people and entertained,” the insider continued. “Harry was exactly the same when he was a baby.” Baby Archie may only be two months old, but he’s already super vocal. “Archie can’t talk yet but he’s certainly trying to! He gurgles and coos with excitement whenever Meghan or Harry walk into the room. You can tell he already adores his parents,” an additional royal source told Closer Weekly.

“He’s just learned to push himself up when lying on his stomach because he wants to see what’s going on around him,” the insider added. “Harry jokes that he’s such a nosy baby.” We’re sure the curiosity will only increase as he gets older.

Lots of exciting things are happening for Archie these days. In June, it was announced that he will be joining his parents on his first royal tour in the fall. “The Foreign and Commonwealth Office have requested a visit to South Africa as well as The Duke carrying out visits to Malawi and Angola,” read an excerpt of the couple’s Instagram post. “This will be their first official tour as a family!” We can’t wait.
